Frequently Asked Questions

We’ve compiled these FAQs to provide answers to some of the most commonly asked questions from prospective students and families. If you have any other questions, please contact us for more information.

Do you offer transportation?

Mount Calvary does not provide its own transportation services. Families living within a certain distance of the school may qualify for reimbursement for driving from MPS, with applications completed through the front office. Additionally, several before- and after-school childcare providers (separate from Mount Calvary) offer transportation to and from Mount Calvary.

Do you offer free breakfast and lunch?

Yes. Mount Calvary participates in the CEP Hot Breakfast & Hot Lunch Program, which allows us to provide nutritionally balanced breakfast and lunch at no cost to all enrolled students each school day.

Do you have uniforms?

Yes. Students wear a school uniform, including Mount Calvary logo polos and approved uniform bottoms, which helps create a focused and welcoming learning environment. Uniforms are ordered through the Mount Calvary Lutheran School uniform store.

When is the best time of year to apply?
The majority of families apply in February. It is encouraged to apply early so that we can remind you of enrollment deadlines (such as Choice deadlines).
What can we expect at an admission visit?

During an Admissions Visit, you will tour the campus, observe the school culture, meet teachers and staff, complete the new student enrollment form, and schedule your student’s placement exam. This visit provides an opportunity to see classrooms and other facilities while gaining insight into academic programs and student life. You’ll have the chance to ask questions, discuss your family’s educational goals, and determine if Mount Calvary is the best fit for your student. Additionally, the admissions process, including important deadlines and required documentation, will be explained to help you make an informed decision.

Do I have to be a Lutheran to attend?
Not at all! While our teachings are rooted in the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), many of our students and families come from a wide variety of Christian backgrounds, and some have little or no church affiliation at all. Everyone is welcome here, and we love the opportunity to share our faith while building a community that values respect, learning, and growth together.
School Accountability

The State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction requires our School Association to have two meetings per school year at which members of the governing body of the school will be present and at which all pupils and parents or guardians of all pupils applying to attend the school or attending the school may meet and communicate with Board members. Please check with your choice administrator when the dates occur this year. All students and parents or guardians are invited to attend.
